It was always my understanding that the folk in Bikini Bottom use "tartar sauce" as an expletive because tartar sauce is what we land critters traditionally serve with fish. So why, in Season 7, was tartar sauce suddenly added to the sea critter menu? (In "Buried in Time" it is used as a condiment on Krabby Patties; in "Back to the Past", it is not only eaten by Patrick but also served at the KK.)

Other Season 7 inconsistancies:
- Barnacle Boy refers to the Invisible Boatmobile as "the Invisiboat".
- Spongebob calls Sandy, "Sandy Squirrel".

Disgraceful. :P

Disclaimer: I'm not actually annoyed. I just think it's funny.

Maybe they're discrediting tartar sauce as a cuss word because "barnacles" had its own song and "tartar sauce" didn't?

"Barnacles" has kinda confused me a bit. In the song with the same name, its said to be a word that you say instead of cursing, yet in "Shell of a Man", the word itself is referred to as foul language.

Spongebob's attic is now a library. Is it a library? I'll post more when I think of something.

Lol, why would you use those words in real life? Maybe if it was a SpongeBob convention, but saying real cuss words just seems to add more impact to your sentence. I dunno. I'm not gonna justify that as I can't think of the right words, but you can bet it would include ::dolphin noise::.

I applaud Spongebob for finding novel ways to express disappointment.

In the case of us people, using "real" curse words hardly ever helps your cause. Losing your cool is never cool. ;)

There's something ironic about that ::dolphin noise:: right there.

The dolphin noise makes me think about the FUNNIEST episode of SB ever--Sailor Mouth.

:squidward: "apparently the two barnacle mouth brothers learned a new word.."

Hey Raisin, how the *SQUARK* are ya?

I guess they outsourced the writing to Korea too...

*rimshot*
I know it's a joke, but I thought the animation has been with Korea for the whole series now. That, and Korea's usually only for the ink and paint stuff.

Also, don't we have a dolphin noise censor?

Example:

Hi, Patrick! How the ::dolphin noise:: are ya?

Pretty ::dolphin noise::ing good, SpongeBob!
