It can't be just me who hears it. It's quite subtle, and I've only ever really noticed it in Season 1, but when he says things in a straightforward matter-of-fact sort of way, I feel like that's when I can hear it the most. Reminds me of those old radio voices, especially if you speed up his voice by 1.25x or 1.5x.

I wish I could attach a clip, but in Jellyfishing! when he says "This is Jellyfish Fields, where wild jellyfish roam just waiting to be captured!" you can kinda hear what I mean, especially if you speed it up a bit.
