THE world’s most famous sponge is coming to the region for a 4-D adventure this Easter.
From Friday (April 3) SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D, The Great Jelly Rescue will be showing on the Newcastle Life Science Centre’s 4D Motion Ride.
Ian Simmons, Director of Science Communication at Life said: “Our Motion Ride is a hugely popular experience among visitors and this new film will not disappoint – it’s packed full of thrills and adventure.”
Other activities at Life over the Easter holiday period (April 3 to April 18) include a new feature where visitors can step into the shoes of real scientists and carry out experiments including DNA extraction.
The wonders of the night sky can be explored in the planetarium and visitors can learn about the wonder of stem cells in the Super Cells: The Power of the Cell exhibition.
Over Easter weekend, (Friday to Monday) there will be chocolate workshops exploring the nation’s favourite sweet treat and from Tuesday (April 7) to Sunday, April 19, The Big Drop sessions let visitors build flying objects and test how it drops to the floor from the ceiling.
SpongeBob SquarePants 4-D, The Great Jelly Rescue will run to October 2. Visitors must be at least 1.2m in height to entre the ride.
