Should SpongeBob be re-rated?

Do you really think SpongeBob should be re-rated to TV-PG or TV-14?

In my opinion, NO! It's not because it has some adults jokes or some gross-out humor that it shouldn't be for kids. I can surely say so because when I watched season 6 I was 9: things like the toenail (maybe), the splinter, The Battle of Bikini Bottom and all the minor gross-out in season 6 didn't bother me, not even a bit. Some people say it should be re-rated because of that, despite not even seeing all that gross-out as kids, and that bothers me.
Weird that we don't get any classification in France though.
 
Nah, its rating is fine. It's appropriate for what the show does and is about, even in the darker years with certain......things. Really if it were to change (not saying it should), then it'd be changed to TVG, since it isn't that inappropriate.
 
Spongebob was always rated TV-Y7, not TV-PG. But the original airing of "It's a Spongebob Christmas!" had a TV-PG rating for some reason.

What I meant was if the rating should be changed into TV-PG, I know SpongeBob is rated TV-Y7 and I wish it stays like this
 
And nobody wanted to change the rating because of the suicide references? Seriously though, people overreact at disgusting scenes. Sure, the toenail scene is disgusting, but classifying it as humor that deserves a higher rating is ridiculous.
 
I think the early seasons should be re-rated TV-Y or TV-G. Episodes like Are You Happy Now? or One Coarse Meal should be re-rated TV-PG or TV-14 because of suicide jokes. Also wasn't the series originally rated TV-Y before Nick got re-brand in 2009?

It would be in ScumBob quality but combined with modern Family Guy and the designs of the characters would look more horrid then the ones introduced in Season 5 or 6 and the animation would be thousands of times grosser then House Fancy, A Pal for Gary or Face Freeze.
 
Squidbob episodes should be rated PG for sexual themes.
