Hello everyone
I would like to hear your opinion on the following open world games you played
RDR 1 and 2
GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, IV and V
Sleeping Dogs
Watch Dogs 1 and 2
Mafia 1, 2 and 3
Saints Row series
Far Cry series
Fallout series

You can rank from best to worst if you want to
I don't mean the whole series but the games themselves, like RDR1>Fallout 3>GTA IV>Far Cry 6>GTA IV>Watch Dogs 2>Watch Dogs 1, etc...

I plan to play some of them but for now it is GTA SA>VC>V>3 for me. I hope I will get to play IV soon

*If you have more open world games I haven't mentioned you can share your opinion on them here

I haven’t played a majority of these, but I’ll give my thoughts on the ones I have.

I played small amounts of both RDR games, and they’re both just good fun. I’m sure that if I spent some time to pay attention to the story, I’d love it even more.
8/10 for both

I’ve only played GTA V, and I think it’s honestly a really good game if you’re playing single player as there is so much to explore, people to meet, and the world ultimately feels lived in. The online mode though is extremely flawed as there is little to no protection from griefers, and it takes way too long to get even a fraction of the money needed for the proper vehicles or to be able to set up more money operations. Even if you spent $100 of real USD, you are looking at MAYBE 3 good vehicles max worth of in game currency.
9/10 solo, 6/10 online

I played Saints Row IV and Gat Out (don’t know if the full name goes against ToS) and I really enjoyed both games. In my opinion the story of Gat Out is far more interesting, but IV is superior in pretty much every other way.
8/10 IV, 7/10 Gat

The Fallout series used to be my bread and butter. I don’t play it as much anymore, but I have such a deep love for most of the games. Out of all the games I have played 1, 3, NV, 4, Shelter, and 76. I won’t give my thoughts on 1, or 3 because I either haven’t played it enough to form a full opinion, or haven’t played it since I was a kid respectively. And then Shelter isn’t open world.

New Vegas is New Vegas, there isn’t much that needs to be said about it. It’s a lot of people’s favorites for good reason. I will say I did play Fallout 4 before any of the others so it was hard to not compare the two games graphically. But the world is so much fun to explore, the factions are some of the most interesting from any Fallout game, and Vegas is just such a cool setting for a Fallout game.
9/10

I am extremely biased, I know, but Fallout 4 is my favorite. It’s not a perfect game, but there are so many memorable locations from Diamond City, the Museum of Witchcraft, and the Glowing Sea. The game also introduced my personal favorite part of 4 and 76, base building. The building system is a bit limited, but if you get creative, there is so much you can do. The DLCs also make the game so much better as it introduces more factions that imo rival the coolness of NV factions, custom robot companions, and the ability to return to vault life andI’ve as an overseer.
9/10

This might be controversial, but I liked 76. I didn’t care too much that there were no NPCs, the game just felt like a slightly toned down multiplayer Fallout 4. I loved exploring the world, collecting different suits of power armor, and customizing my camp and taking photos in it. The game also has Mothman, and an entire cult surrounding him making it automatically good as I LOVE Mothman and other cryptids.
7/10

Not exactly ranking in comparison, but here is how I’d rank each out of 10. I’m curious to hear thoughts on the Elder Scrolls series for how similar they often are to the Fallout games in style. I personally like the Scrolls games even more than Fallout though. Skyrim and Daggerfall are my favorites.

Can't contribute to this thread as I haven't played any of these games. And--to be honest--I don't know why I'm posting that.

I've played Saints Row IV and all of the Bethesda-era Fallouts. All are great games.

Saints Row IV > Fallout 4 > Fallout: New Vegas > Fallout 3
