So, yeah, apparently Disney is leaving out the songs in their live-action version of Mulan.

What do you think about this? Do you agree with this decision, or not?

Personally, I'm not really all that fussed - Mulan is a Disney Princess praised for being a strong female heroine. While we may love the music from the original, I sort of feel like the movie could portray Mulan just as strong with or without music - it should be her as a character that is prioritized, not necessarily the music.

To be honest i love the direction this movie is going... To be honest the live action Beauty and the Beast songs have some mixed receptions, and the original Mulan i feel it would have been better if they left a few of the songs out.

Also it could be a little more darker...? It´s set in a war well sort of.

It could always be darker than the animated movie...sounds rather interesting, wouldn't you say?

As long it´s not the "2edgy4me" type yes. It can have a darker tone.

I can see why they might feel like songs would be weird in a live action movie, specifically about this kind of subject matter. Not that they can top I'll Make a Man Out of You anyway. It's already amazing.
