Ah good ol GameCube. We all grew up on this console as young kids. It had great games, a not so heavy console and a nostalgic start up!

I however sold my GameCube in 2011 :patsad: but I had a Nintendo Wii that played GameCube games until it broke.

My first GameCube game was non other than good ol "Luigi's Mansion"

This game used to scare me as a child but now as a teen, its ADDICTING! I really got bored of it when I was like 5 or 6. But as time progressed I started to play it more and well what do ya know I beat it!

I asked my mom if we can go to GameStop to buy more games. And so we did and I bought EVERY SpongeBob game for the GameCube I could get my hands on lol. I also bought "Super Mario Sunshine" & "Super Smash Bros Melee" & "Mario Kart Double Dash" oh how I wish I could get my hands on these games again. You know what? If I get a lot of Christmas money, I'm buying me a GameCube again!

it's still better than the wii.i say again they should have gave us nintendo game cube two.instead of the wii.

HOW MANY TIMES DO WE NEED TO TELL YOU THAT IT WON'T HAPPEN?

I recently picked one up

here are the games i have

Mega man anniversery collection
Super mario sunshine
Sonic gems collection
Sonic adventure DX
Sonic mega collection
Mario kart double dash
Animal crossing
Sonic riders

I prefer where a game console was simple and just for games. Something cheap you could pick up for a 100 bucks. Now I feel like I'm paying 500 for another "Netflix machine" when all I'm buying it for is to play games. Not every thing needs to stream movies or come with a sound system.

Don't... give... him... attention...

In response to the thread, I loved the GameCube. Me and my sister used to play on it a lot back then. Games like Kirby Air Ride, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Mario Sunshine, best of all: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and many others made my love for Nintendo officially grow. Though, it's in the attic all old and dusty now since we got a Wii in during summer 2007, the GameCube was definitely one of my favorites.

Super Monkey Ball...
Mario Party 5...
Nickelodeon Party Blast... (guilty pleasure)
Cool sounds...

MAN, I MISS THIS ERA SO MUCH. :(

I love this little console, I think it does need some more appreciation. I've always liked the games for it, including the big first-party Nintendo games and a host of a few third-party ones. There's also lots of other great things about it, including the Game Boy stuff, the awesome controllers, the cool colors, and other little gimmicks accessories and stuff.
Yeah, sure, I might have missed the era for it, but I always still enjoyed playing GameCube games on my family friends' old Jet Black system and on my home Wii as well.

Now, a brief little question: Where can I still get GameCube (consoles, maybe games) these days, since I'm getting a Wii U?

I wish I had this console, but no, I was too young and my older sisters weren't interested by it :(

I loved the Gamecube. I don't think it's the greatest console ever but it's nostalgic and has a ton of great games. My personal favorites are:

Smash Bros Melee
Super Mario Sunshine
Mario Kart Double Dash
Zelda: Wind Waker
Pokemon X D
Animal Crossing
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Pikmin 1 & 2

I think the games for it were better than the Wii and the controller was a lot better. Good times. Good times.

Best console of all time imo. Best controller ever, and greatest game catalog by far (Wii U's catalog is getting pretty close tho)

Garage Sales, Thrift Shops, and if those fail, a retro game store in your area will most likely have a lot of Gamecube stuff

Probably one of my favorite consoles ever, I have over 30 games for it. My favorites games were of course, SSB Melee, Resident Evil 4, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Tales of Symphonia, and Metroid Prime. I still miss it to this day, we can only hope another console will deliver like the GC did.
