Why has 5:01 PM been the primary time for Spongebob episodes? I watched Potato Puff on premiere and it was at, like 7 pm.

daily (mon-thurs) premieres now. they used to do this all the time back in the 2000s/2010s days of SB

i'm guessing the reason why this is so is because back in season 13, they had an excess of episodes completed in mid-2023, and wanted to start season 14 (25th anniversary season) as soon as possible. daily premieres are a good way to knock out episodes quickly unlike weekly premieres. primetime premieres probably interfered with their schedules. however, they'll likely comeback soon at least considering they have some specials to air.
