Krabby Patty Secret Formula

This was posted by PokeDouglas a long time ago, so long ago, his name was Douglas12.

Nick.com has a recipe made up for Krabby Patties!
  • Ingredients
  • 2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp. finely chopped celery
  • 4-6 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. thyme
  • 1 lb. frozen imitation crabmeat, (defrosted and finely chopped in a food processor)
  • 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise (plus 1 cup for dipping sauce)
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 3 tbsp. ketchup (for dipping sauce)
  • Start Cooking
    • Step 1 - Saut the onions and celery in 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the thyme, lower the heat, and cook until the onions are translucent.
    • Step 2 - In a large bowl combine the crabmeat, sauted onions and celery, bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, egg, salt and pepper to taste. Stir to combine.
    • Step 3 - Shape into rounds by using a small ice cream scoop, then gently pat flat.
    • Step 4 - Heat 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet. Working in batches (2 to 3 crab cakes at a time) place the crab cakes in a skillet and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side. You may need to add more oil for the second and third batches.
    • Step 5 - Preheat the oven to 400F. Transfer the crab cakes to the baking pan and bake for 10 minutes. The crab cakes can be kept in a warm oven for approximately 30 minutes, or they may be reheated at serving time. Serve with a kid-friendly dipping sauce. Mix 1 cup of mayonnaise with 3 tablespoons of ketchup.

Sssssh! Lock this topic - we don't want Plankton picking up on the formula! :)
Seriously tho', I remember posting something in that topic long ago - now let me see...?

EDIT: No, maybe it was in the other Krabby Patty thread.
Hey, TTS, you never told us whether you'd tried that recipe for yourself, did you? Remember? coolman was impatient sick.

That can't be the real recipe!!

If it really is from nick.com,Nickelodeonmadeituptopresentsomethingtothefans,butit's never the real formula of that what Steve Hillenburg thinks.

If it really is from nick.com, Nickelodeon made it up to present something to the fans, but it's never the real formula of that what Steve Hillenburg thinks.
I don't even think Hillenburg knows what the formula is. O_o I have tried it, as well as the recipe for "Seaweed Patties" (Quiches). I made the seaweed patties for a Hawaiin party I went to, and people were constantly saying, "What?! Real seaweed?"
Everytime I go to a restaurant and I see Maryland Crab Cakes on the menu, I think "Krabby PAtties!"

I think SpongeBob actually said the secret recipe in the episode Plankton, but Plankton didn't realise he found out the secret recipe becaus SpongeBob told him.

"100% all-secret Patty" doesn't really count, Timmieboy.

Maybe................
ButIthink Hillenburg wouldn't agree with that!

And this formula of nick.com CAN'T be right, because it said "heat vegetable oilinalargeskillet and placethecrabcakesin it"

Did SpongeBob ever place the patties in a skillet? and did hebefore ever heat vegetable oil in it?

The real formula is what the show says, not what nick.com wrote!

And the real formula is like this:

bun, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, cheese, pickles, tomatoes, patty etc. and secret sauce.

you just have to watch SpongeBob at his work and you know all, except thesecret sauce.

Nice recepie though, but maybe there is no "Hillenburg's formula (meaning the forumla thought by the writers)" at all. Why do you think that they didn't make Plankton read the formula in the movie, or cut the scene to credits at Krusty Krab Training Video?

That first forumla looks great.

I'm not sure if there is a "real patty", i guess in real life, making it would turn out like a hamburger, cheeseburger, etc

The first one was the episode: Pickles

The second was the episode, as timmeboy said was in plankton

Third was in plankton's army, although it was a made up

I can't remember the exact order it was from pickles, but the ingredients were:

Buns X 2. (Top and bottem)
Tomatos.
Onions.
Cheese.
Lettece
Mustard.
Ketchap.
And Patty.
