I have seen people referencing Wikipedia, a deleted scene from I Was A Teenage Gary where Squidward transforms into a snail. Unlike some, I didn't first here about this online. I remember watching the first airings of nearly all the episodes from season 1 and 2 as a child. I specifically remember being really frightened by this episode and remember Squidward's transformation scene!

I have read on here and other places people are saying someone pulled this as a hoax or just wanted to get people riled up. But would never LIE about this!!!!

I am SO DETERMINED to find this transformation scene it's not even funny!

Has anyone at all found anymore info about this scene? It boggles my mind I have been googling and searching only hear just rumors about this and it's like it was wiped off the face of the earth! It was totally a scary scene for a little kid. That is most likely why it was deleted, but to just remove it completely? That's so strange to me. I remember this vividly I think BECAUSE of how scary it was (for a kid and for Spongebob I mean)

Anyone else remember seeing it?
 
What "I Was A Teenage Gary" deleted scene, they never shown "Squidward transforming into a snail" scene, there's only the "SpongeBob turning into a snail" scene.

The "Just One Bite" and "Procrastination" deleted scenes are in their Season Box Sets.

No offense, but I still don't believe it's true. Maybe it's one of the cases where you tricked yourself into remembering that scene. Happens to me all the time. :D
 
I do not at all recall a SquidSnail transformation scene.... =/

But the SpongeBob -> snail transformation scene was rather disturbing, will say that....

I understand this was a long time ago, but like I said I'm old so I wasn't THAT young when seeing this scene.

Still a kid yes and it was some years go, but I think old enough to not have distorted it. This was definitely one of the episodes that played infrequently. When I saw it again though I just remember thinking it was missing that scene and I couldn't get it out of my mind. I find it hard to believe I would make something up in an episode. I've never done this for any other Spongebob episode. I remember coming online finding Spongebob stuff for the first time, not that long ago and coming across a list of deleted scenes. I knew about the "Just One Bite" and "Procrastination", I remembered this scene as well, and saw it on the list. None of the others I "made up" remembering.

One day it will surface or I will find a way to make it surface! It's true I tell you!!!

Actually, the "Just One Bite" deleted scene has never been put on DVD at all, including the season box sets. On the first 100 episodes DVD set, they actually have the original airing of "Shanghaied" where people could vote for the ending but, still no original scene of Just One Bite. :(

How old were all of you that say you remember it when it aired? No offense, I just think that your memory can get a little fuzzy from a certain age and know for a fact that if I saw the original airing, my memory would be too fuzzy to trust. =/

If it is real, I wonder if we'll ever be able to see it again anywhere. The Just One Bite scene is at least online but, this doesn't seem to be anywhere. :(
 
I don't have the DVD's anyway with the deleted scenes.

My Spongebob love was dormant for a while, it was a big part of my childhood. I remembered seeing "Just One Bite" in my home after it was edited, and being certain of the deleted scene. Then when I came online looking for stuff, I found it on YouTube. "Procrastination" I will admit, I watched the episode frequently after it having been edited, that I almost forgot about the deleted scene. After googling it though, I do remember watching Patrick putting lotion on Sandy and Spongebob's eyelash/nose exercises.
 
I just checked the length of the episode compared to the other episodes on the DVD and it's basically the exact same. However, if you go to Just One Bite, its cut is noticeable just by looking at the length. So either they made a new scene to replace it and fill the length or it was an extra long episode.

Edit: I just went to Paul Tibbit's Twitter and there was ironically a question about the Just One Bite deleted scene and he didn't even realize it was cut. So I asked him about the I Was a Teenage Gary scene. Hopefully he'll respond.

I remember it started off normally, you know, before Squidward started turning into a snail. THEY SHOWED HIM TURNING INTO A SNAIL.

First, the needle started flying with wings, causing his walls to become pretty pink. It then proceeded to stab him in the butt. Once he was stabbed in the butt, he became a fabulous butterfly and started dancing to 1960's showtunes. Finally, he exploded into 50,000 cubes of frozen Nutella and became a snail.



I wish this were fake, but unfortunately, this is nothing but political propoganda. Have a nice day.

I actually have those but the deleted scenes aren't on there.
