Disney-Nickelodeon-spark-run-on-new-series-2G15VNBU-x-large.jpg

Yeah, there's this new show that just got a preview on the Disney Channel. It's premiering June 29th. From what I saw, it was great. Thoughts:

-It was great. The show had a mundane sense of humor that resonated with me, and there was some stuff hinting that the show might not be all comedy. A little mystery here and there.

- In the credits, I saw some people from other shows that probably made the show amazing: Phil Rydna is the Production Designer, and Rob Renzetti is the Supervising Producer. Pretty cool. The art style was cool too.

-And everything about this worked. Mable and Dipper were funny (Mable was freaking adorable). Can't wait for the actual series premiere. I really hope this series does well. With Disney and Phineas And Ferb, Motorcity and Tron: Uprising, I think Disney is finally stopped sucking in the television animation department.

-Oh, one more thing; the animation in this was freaking sick. It was fluid, lively, and everything. One thing that'll probably keep me watching. The animation was amazing.

What'd you think?

I saw the last five minutes or so while I was flipping through channels, but due to a problem with my TV I couldn't hear anything. However, from what I saw it looked cool, and I definitely agree with you about the animation. I don't watch Disney Channel all that often, but I still think this could have potential.

Finally, the Disney Channel is airing more than one good show. I can't remember the last time I was able to say that. Very funny, and the animation looks cool. My favorite episode is the one with the wax figures that come to life. I will definitely be watching this show.

This along with Phineas and Ferb is my favorite show on Disney.

It's really funny and and the relationship between Dipper and Mabel is really sweet.

I've never actually seen it, but my friends have and they liked it. And you guys seem to like it to. Looks like I'll be watching it sometime. I'll post what I think of it when I watch it.

I gotta say that it's actually pretty funny and good too. I was very surprised. I was worried that it would be like fish hooks and suck but it doesn't. I like the animation too. And the voice actors are so good. Woman who plays Mabel is always good.

This show is good. My favorite characters are mabel and Grunkle Stan. Funny and exciting. 9.3/10

Haven't watched this show much, but from what I have seen Mabel could lead the whole show if they wanted her to. The other characters don't even come close to measuring up to her. (And I saw the same sentiments echoed in a review by a professional television critic in the Los Angeles Times the other day, which must mean my opinions have some grounds to them.) :teef:

I watched one episode of this show - I liked it. The animation style isn't bad, the jokes are decent, it's kind of original, it's all around pretty decent. One of the best Disney Channel outings i've seen this year.

Now that I've watched more episodes of this show, I have come to like it quite a lot. I said in an earlier post that Mabel seemed to be the only truly good character, but a few others seem to have come into their own by this time. It's like I always say, "the first few episodes of a new series are almost always bad." But this show seems to have improved considerably as time has gone on and hopefully it will continue to. And for some reason the theme song is one of my favorite theme songs I've ever heard on any TV show (excluding SpongeBob, of course!).

EDIT: Forgot to say, unfortunately this show probably won't last long because it has one eternal failing in the youth market in that it has absolutely nothing to do with kids who think they can sing *coughHannahMontana/Austin&Allycough*, kids who think they can dance *coughShakeItUpcough*, or half-hour shows where four youths do absolutely nothing at all except scream and yell at a pitch louder than that of a sonic aircraft landing at Edwards *coughJessiecough*.

So alas...

I didn't like Mabel in the latest episode. Really or Dipper. Too overreactive.

:O MIND BLOWN!

You and me seem to have the same taste in TV shows Perry! :) I LOVE Gravity Falls! It's the perfect mix of humor and mystery. I'm so excited for every new episode and learning a little more about the town's secrets. Every character is funny in their own way but my favorite is definitely Soos. I love his voice and the way he calls everyone "dude."

"I am needed elsewhere." -Soos, Tourist Trapped.

P.S. For anyone who saw "The Time Travelers Pig." Did you know Blendin Blandin can really be seen in the background of the first three episodes picking up items? :D Continuity WIN!

Wow, it must be a good show then. Unlike that stupid Robot and Monster. :p
