Do you want another Plankton episode WITHOUT the Krabby Patty formula or Krusty Krab?

I just looked back at the SpongeBob episode, "Walking Small". If you ask me, this is the most unique Plankton episode out of all the others, because it has very unusual traits compared to the others: it wasn't about Plankton trying to steal a Krabby Patty, it didn't have the Krusty Krab in it (not even for a second), and it didn't have Mr. Krabs in it.

Given how many Mr. Krabs/Plankton or "Plankton steals the formula" episodes we've had lately, I really want an episode like this in the future. I want a Plankton episode where Plankton does something evil, but it has nothing to do with him stealing the formula; just doing something absolutely evil that makes him an unpredictable villain in the show. If the writers could make episodes like this one, then I won't get annoyed when I see Plankton in an episode.

Another reason is because honestly, Plankton doesn't seem much like an actual villain anymore. Because of this, I feel like he's more of a plot device now. I find that kind of abusive and needless.

Tell me your thoughts here!

Yes, YES, YEEESSS! :plankpoint:

You took the words right out of my mouth. Bless you.

Yes. No matter how good or interesting the "Plankton steals the recipe" plot is, they are all the same to a degree. Walking Small is one of my favorite Plankton episodes, and I wish they made more like it. The only other episodes that came close were F.U.N., Friend or Foe, and maybe Plankton's Pet, but even those involved the Krabby Patty formula. We just see too much of the same thing and it would be nice to have a little break every once in a while.

That does sound like a good idea to have more unique Plankton episodes. Maybe I could do episodes like that for my fan-made SpongeBob series.

Another thing I'd like to add is one Plankton episode that could have avoided usage of the Krusty Krab: It Came from Goo Lagoon.

Seriously, that episode very easily could have just been an episode where Plankton wants to pop the bubble and make every one at Goo Lagoon dirty, but nope. They just had to throw yet another Krusty Krab plot in the episode. That's really sad that an episode tossed out something that would have been less predictable.

I would actually like it a lot if they tried new ideas for episodes involving Plankton without the secret formula. For example, Plankton could try and destroy Krab's house for a non-formula reason. They could make it happen, but apparently now Plankton must try in every one of his episodes to get the formula. Maybe one of the new episodes coming out later could try and use a non-secret formula plot involving Plankton? Hopefully...

Walking Small was interesting because it focused on both the relationship of Plankton and Spongebob, and a really deep character flaw of Spongebob's that really doesn't get enough focus.

We need more episodes about both of those things.

Didn't that used to be your favorite episode?

I think so. If I had to pick a top 3 favorite episodes it'd be there somewhere, definitely

my favorite episode tends to flip-flop a lot.

Your favorite tends to be Pizza Delivery, Help Wanted, and Dying for Pie.

And I also heard you liked the second movie.

I love all of those episodes so much! Those would be my top 4.

I hated the second movie but honestly, I really appreciate the art direction. The background paintings were gorgeous, the storyboards look fantastic, the actual animation is nothing to scoff at, the color palette is stunning, et cetera.

Sure. I don't mind Plankton episodes where he tries to steal the formula, since that is mainly what his character is about, but I'm down for other acts of evil too. I love Walking Small. I wouldn't mind more episodes like that where he tries (and fails) to do evil things to improve his own business rather than directly attacking the Krusty Krab.

Or just episodes from his point of view in general. "The Algae's Always Greener" broke the "Plankton tries to steal the formuler" formula slightly. It did involve the Krusty Krab, but the focus was more in him switching lives with Krabs and having to deal with the characters from Krabs' position. It was a play on the "It's A Wonderful Life" story and it was VERY funny.
