Can someone explain to me why Squidward was arrested at the end of Squid Defense...? It's never really explained. It can't be for beating someone up, because we see people getting beat up all the time in the show (example: Flats trying to kick SpongeBob's butt, those fish Krabs hired to beat him up in Krabby Land, Patrick hitting SpongeBob with a rock in Home Sweet Pineapple, Plankton every time he appears, and the list goes on...), but they never get arrested. It can't be for breaking a promise, because in Sailor Mouth, SpongeBob and Patrick break their promise to never swear, and in Hooky, SpongeBob promised to never go near the hooks again (a sailor's promise, no less!), but then he goes near the hooks, and in those situations, they don't get arrested. Is he being arrested just because he's Squidward? Kind of gives meaning to the phrase "no one wants to be a Squidward"...

Using Karate for revenge.
In Karate Island, isn't Sandy using karate as revenge against Master Udon...?

For abuse of power
Was it ever explained that he'd be arrested for that? Also, Patrick in Rule Of Dumb abused his power and was never arrested...

He...uh..."assaulted" (is an incredibly strong word) someone....

also squidward

He hurt someone.
Again, everyone hurts each other with no legal intervention. What about Patrick hitting SpongeBob in No Weenies Allowed (and quite possibly the Salty Spitoon as a whole)? What about SpongeBob strangling Krabs in Can You Spare A Dime? What about Flats? Surely no cops piled onto him while he was walking home with SpongeBob, punching him in the back repeatedly.

I feel like this is the one and only reason he was arrested.

Um, no? She was saving SpongeBob. It's only be revenge if she insisted on attacking him even after SpongeBob was free. Huge difference.
