Seriously debating whether this belongs in the Dump.... :umm:



Anyone had braces? ANYONE? :O

Well....i got the mouth metal today, and need some advice on pain, things I can eat, things I can't eat, and SUSHI. Gots to have me sushi. And if I don't, I'll cry.

So, err..... help :(
 
Don't eat popcorn or chips.
 
You are allowed to have sushi. :D My brother just got braces last week, so I know what you can and can't eat. You can't eat what ssj said, or candy and hard stuff.
 
I've been lucky to have avoided braces for a long time..
I hope I never will have to have them.. ever
 
I don't have braces but my twin does. She avoids popcorn, hard chips, and caramel. After she gets them tightened (about once a month), she has to eat soft foods for about two days.
 
Ive got braces.

It depends on what they do to your teeth. When they put a new wire on, it may hurt for a couple days. Other than that, braces dont really hurt a lot.
 
With braces? Yeah...you are going to be in for a long and painful ride
 
Just wait til you are done with them. And 3 years? Hahahahahahaha. :p
 
I have Invisalign which are pretty much braces except you can't see them and I can take them out.
 
Well....your lucky. Because I asked my dentist about Invisalign SPECIFICALLY because I KNEW those were removable and replacable and see through, and she said I didn't qualify for them.

I'll be honest here. I can't really help you because I haven't ever or (as long as I keep care of my teeth, obviously) ever will need braces. Apparently I have perfect teeth.

I just like bragging about that as it's one of the few things I can brag about. Sorry. :p
 
I never had braces. I did have to wear a splint a night for a few years but that was because I used to grind my teeth in my sleep.

It's not all about keeping your teeth in good care. Ok, it is, but if you have crooked teeth then you don't really have that much of a choice.

I guess I was just lucky =/ One of the few things I was lucky in haha
 
I had braces back in 7th/8th grade... I never thought they hurt at all. I did break them at least 5 or 6 times though. I had gum and candy all the time and didn't really care lol
Unfortunately now me teeth look terrible =/
