Best way to watch Spongebob (as originally intended) Seasons 1-5

I am currently trying to get some feedback for my Spongebob Archive DVD project. Currently what I what is the presentation to be as original as broadcasted the way how it was originally seen.

What i've come across mainly from my public library when played in my player the 2012 re-releases for some early seasons of some of the episodes. The video has been altered fake side pixels were added and the color was changed.

The 2012 releases to my assumption anyway are mastered from the 2009 release upscales, rather from their original master.

The current list I have are as follows that I plan on getting.
Season 1 - 2003 Season Release
Season 2 - 2004 Season Release, Spongebob Goes Prehistoric 2004 Release
Season 3 - 2005 Season Release
Season 4: Lost in Time 2006 Release, Karate Island 2006 Release, Volume 2 Release
Season 5: Volume 1 Release, Atlantis Squarepantis 2007 Release, and Pest of the west 2008 Release

Currently Bought:
Goes Prehistoric [2004]
Lost in Time [2006]
Karate Island [2006]
Season 4 Volume 2
Atlantis Squarepantis [2007]
The Complete 3rd Season [2005]

All the other seasons I'm not really bothering with for the moment. But I would like to see what you guys think if what I have is a good start. I'm not trying to catch and buy every single dvd of the spongebob discs but just what I think is true to the time, and not a cropped/stretched upscale.

If we were to include S6 Truth or Square is least optimal on Bikini Bottom Bash where it is not only shortened (modern TV version and not the standard 49/59 minute versions) but also letterboxed on a widescreen DVD....

I try not to think about Bikini Bottom Bash... At this point they should really start releasing blu ray discs if nick is trying to go widescreen all the way for releases like that.
