Yesterday, we lost Andy Paley, who, with Tom Kenny, wrote the SpongeBob songs "The Best Day Ever", "Where's Gary?", and "Don't Be a Jerk (It's Christmas)". In July, Paley was diagnosed with throat cancer. He was cancer-free from September until it returned on the 7th of this month, this time being too advanced to treat. Yesterday, he was moved to a respite house, where he succumbed to his throat cancer.
I found out about his passing from this edit to Encyclopedia SpongeBobia's "List of deceased crew members" article, and I thought to myself, "Oh, no! That's really sad." I then discovered articles from Variety and Yahoo.
