Pacing could be better.
them actually getting to the training comes later in the episode than it should, and let's not even talk about when they actually become firefighters...
.

Not so great pacing aside though, the episode is really funny all the way through, and even if the plot doesn't go anywhere for longer than expected, that time is still worthy because of the comedy.

I will say though that I find the mystery pole scene a bit overrated.

Also the pacing gets better in the second half.

Pretty great episode overall. Probably still not my favorite of the season.
