177a. The Good Krabby Name

Underrated episode and a very good one. The things Sponge and Pat did here were very funny. And that scene, "We left you a present in there.... *giggles" was lterally the best part of the whole episode :rofl: It was the highlight.
 
Just watched this episode, it was great! I loved the various ways they marketed the Krusty Krab.
 
This episode is one of my favorite Season 8 episodes. The Patrick and SpongeBob's patty costume scene was funny, SpongeBob and Patrick writing Eat at the Krusty Krab was funny as well and the ending was a good ending.

10/10 A perfect episode which is underrated.
 
It would be on my top 5 for the season if it wasn't for the ending.

This episode is perfect. It's one of my favorite post-movie episodes. It actually feels like a pre-movie to me. The idea is uncreative because we've seen Krusty Krab getting promoted before but the episode is very funny and very entertaining.

Funny parts:
- Spongebob wearing krabby patty costume and Patrick mistaking SpongeBob for a giant patty
- Plankton's cameo
- Promotions making everyone mad but hungry
- Patrick writing "Eat at Krusty Krab" on the wall and the cop thinking It's a graffiti and then the cop deciding to arrest them after he eats a krabby patty
- Patrick hiring a skywriter, the sky writer falling from the sky and writing "help me" on a clipboard
- "We left you a little present in there"
- SpongeBob and Patrik causing trouble in highway
- The ending with Mr. Krabs and the mailman

Very good episode, did anyone else notice the references to To Save a Squirrel (Patrick saying eat or be eaten) and its sister episode The Inmates of Summer (the Sun Fun island counselor)?

This episode was a nice idea and I think they got a lot of great jokes out of it. These last couple episodes really sent season 8 off on a good note.

It was funny..I liked same scenes with members like Amphitrite and DadMom AngryPants , it had a lot of fun quotes and moments , the ending made me laugh for some reason .. It was goooood :P I'll give this one an 8/10.
 
I guess I'm in the minority here when I say I didn't care for this episode too much. It's definitely not bad, but there's nothing in it that I thought was particularly great.

This is one of the better post movie episodes in the fact where it doesn't try too much at once, a simple plot about the annoyances of advertising yet how they still work anyways is true enough to be hilarious. 8.5/10
 
Just checked this episode out and you know what?
It was awkward.
While here many strong gags and funny moments, entire episode feels kinda off. Music is off, pacing is off, Patrick is off...
Ending is boring and didn't resolve anything.
So episode is rather mildly good.

I actually liked this one. It's pretty enjoyable, the plot is nice, and there are a few funny jokes. That's all I have to say here. Next!

Honestly i rather disliked this one. I just found it to be not very funny. Patrick cruelly beat up his bestie for no reason at all! I actually wanted to like this episode but it was just super messy.

Oh boy, another Krusty Krab business practices plot, and so soon? You know what? Why not. I like them. And I think the plot of this one is pretty different than usual, as it’s about attracting specific customers, not just customers in general. Mr. Krabs being a complete creep about this is pretty funny. Like why not get him on the same level of obsessiveness as SpongeBob? It’s funny.

SpongeBob is pretty great in this episode, and his ploys to get these new customers are pretty funny. Dressing like a Krabby Patty and scaring that first customer away? Too funny. And I love that he’s such a bad promoter in that scene. Like dang, how are you worse purposefully promoting the Krusty Krab in this episode, than you were at accidentally promoting it in “Squid on Strike”? And Patrick’s little bit in this part is really funny, especially in light of “Krabby Patty Creature Feature”. Later, once SpongeBob and Patrick paint the whole town, I’m reminded of “Have You Seen This Snail”. Same thing with the skywriter, which is legitimately one of the funniest jokes in this episode, if not this season. Though I don’t know, the one with the guy screaming is up there too. Also I love how that incidental completely changes color between the two shots that make up that joke. Like how did that happen?

I’m surprised by how much I love Patrick in this episode, because he’s too dang funny. I know I need to stop being surprised, as that means that I have low expectations, but after so many showings where Patrick was literally the problem, I can’t help it. And lately, it feels like the magic has been brought back to his idiocy, as I don’t think I’ve had a complaint about him for like half of the season now? Don’t quote me on that lol.

We of course get our little bit of chaos as soon as Grass Skirt Chase starts playing, as SpongeBob and Patrick’s last ploy to get customers leads to tons of cars crashing at the Krusty Krab. This part is, much like the rest of the episode, funny and enjoyable. And then when said car crashees come out of their cars and angrily storm up to the Krusty Krab, I love how Mr. Krabs just plucks the mailman out of there and starts getting…intimate…with him. Good for you, Mr. Krabs.

There’s also so many other small things I like. Plankton’s little cameo is fun, and I love that this is one of those episodes where Squidward somehow knows how to man a grill lol. This show’s lack of consistency, and lack of care towards that fact, is something I will always adore.

I think “The Good Krabby Name” is an underrated episode. I don’t have much evidence to back up my claim, but I really liked it and I hardly see it mentioned. But I mean, season 8 is looking to be a very underrated season, so this doesn’t even surprise me.
