These are scenes that really creeped me out as a kid and are still kind of unnerving

Squidward's Confrontation with Robot Krabs


Something about the atmosphere of this scene is really creepy to me. lol

Patrick's Breakdown in "Nature Pants"


This scene is both really sad and REALLY frightening. Patrick's pain is easy to see, but his completely psychotic rage is also evident. If you interpret the scene the way I did, then Patrick is trying to murder Spongebob by suffocating him inside of a jar.

Whatever Happened To Spongebob At The End Of "Welcome to the Chum Bucket"


Can we assume that Spongebob's wonky appearance here is due to a somewhat botched brain surgery? Even though he's fine the next time we see him it's still a little jarring.

The weirdest part about "Suds" is the sudden appearance of a Medieval torture chamber in Spongebob's house.

There are a few possibilities as to why it's there, and all of them are unnerving.

1) It belongs to Spongebob. He's a very kinky little guy.

2) It was there when Spongebob moved in a la the torture chamber from "Johnny the Homicidal Maniac."

3) It belongs to Patrick and he brought it into Spongebob's house.

I was too old to be scared by anything but I do remember Nasty Patty being the closest to being so dark that it was almost scary.

in hindsight it's kind of impressive that someone as fragile as Spongebob didn't completely psychologically break down after the events of that episode.

Idk why but that one scene with Pearl always scares me
