It used to be black, but now it's dark pink.

I noticed this too, and then thought nothing about it

I mean

it's just a line
 
I don't have a preference either way. I never even noticed this change before you pointed it out. I think the top Gary looks better, but that's more because of his general design.
 
There's also a whole lot of Gary sticking his head up (like in the second pic) in the new episodes but I think nothing of it.

I actually like that aspect of his design a lot. It gives his design more personality rather than a blank expression everytime.

We know when Gary is happy, angry or sad now.

Yeah, that's true. It also makes him look pretty cute.
 
I don't mind it. Heck, I don't think I've ever noticed it until now.
 
I never noticed this before either. He looks more natural in the second pic but I like him either way.
 
I like the pink line better, but I don't like the way his head sticks up.
 
I only subconsciously knew about this. I do like it pink though. I don't know why, but I do.

I agree. I do like pink outlines though.
 
I like the pink outline and more expressions of newer Gary better.
