In some episodes storyboarded by Springer there is something particular to his drawings. I'm talking about Spongebob's legs being too close to each other. Just see these pictures from three episodes storyboarded by him

Your thoughts?

I dislike this unless it's used very briefly for a pose and fits with what SpongeBob is saying. In the Season 1 image, for example, he had just stood to attention and saluted Mr. Krabs, right? But when he's just hanging out and his legs are together like that for no reason it bugs me.

In the second post-movie image above I feel like it works with the particular pose. He's apparently supposed to be looking meek and nervous, so it fits. He's crouched down and trying to look smaller.
