I voted for his design in the 2004 movie. It's not overly bright or dim and it's a bit of traditional and modern looks.

00, 05 & movie tie, but the movie for it being sharp, I can't get enough of Plankton's design because IT'S TOO GOOD IN THE MOVIE! THE MOVIE ANIMATION IS THAT GOOD! So that is why I pick the movie, although I like all of the animations. :)

Post movie looks so rigid and un-spongy, so the pre-movie designs win for me. Claymation isn't anything special really. CGI doesn't look half bad, but they left out some minor details like his butt chin and his shirt collar.
