Through his contact page on Kaz Underworld, I messaged him:
Hi Kaz,
My name's [name and address withheld] and I'm a huge fan of all your work. Recently in the online SpongeBob community there have been rumors of you returning to write for the show, based on your occupation description on Facebook. If you could clarify that for us it mean a lot to us.

I myself am curious if they're gonna start hiring people from other popular shows like Adventure Time to work on SB.
 
Hillenburg was the cake.
Sherm Cohen was the icing.
Random new writers and people from the movie crew (Bob Camp, Adam Paloian) were the rainbow sprinkles
Kaz is the cherry.

Old crew members returning was always a wistful, unrealistic dream ... but now it is actually happening and I couldn't be happier. Kaz wrote some of my all-time favourite episodes and now he's in the writer's meetings I can't wait to see what they come up with.

They already have an Adventure Time writer on board. Also, is there any source for the fact that Hillenburg is writing episodes now too? And a source for Bob Camp and Sherm Cohen?

Sherm confirmed it on Twitter and Vincent already said something about Bob working on the show and confirmed Lynne Naylor (Chris Reccardi's wife I think, also co creator of The Modifyers and worked on Ren and Stimpy at Spumco too back in the 90s. Chris himself did a few eps on SB himself) is on the show now too. I'll find the tweet for you.

If Derek Drymon comes back as well (I'm not sure yet, but I heard a rumor saying he is coming back), I am going to die of happiness. When the new episodes air, we are going to party like it's 1999. May 1st.
 
This is good news for Spongebob fans, bad news for Phineas & Ferb fans. Kaz returning to the former guarantees that the latter is ending.
