I have to admit, I was lost at first too.

I get it now, but it still seems like a sort of "out there" joke.

Still one of my fave moments in the series "is that what he calls it?". In German, he says "the part about 'proud' is new to me.".. I like it better in English.

So, is that how Squidward came out, then?

Sad thing is, I could go on.. and on.. and on with the joke.

On that note, I still don't quite get it after the explanations... In fact, rather than the ugly part somehow meaning gay, I sorta think it'd be the "proud" part. just bite me.. I'm not doing very well at the moment.. my head and stomach are doing flips.. I'm feeling so sick.

But, regardless, I can roll with the joke. ;)
