*New generation meaning that I treat the post-movie SpongeBob era as something different. A bit like the G2 edition of SpongeBob.
With that in mind, I've been witnessing a lot of hate throughout the years that I myself decided not to follow the Sponge anymore. As in, I still like it, but I won't stalk every development like I used to. Therefore, I haven't seen much of post-movie. But after joining this site, I got the motivation to watch and see how the series is doing so far. Instead of bickering around the pre-movie era. And after a long time watching new episodes and finding more atrocities than imagined, I've compiled 101 likeable episodes. That's not bad, considering the backlash the new gen episodes have gotten. And out of all of those 101 episodes, I've compiled 30 I liked most. Before I start this list, consider the following notes :
1. Season 9 is not finished, yet. So although I have found great gems like Plankton's Pet, I'm not including them yet.
2. Here's a guide that'll hopefully make this more interesting :
- There are 6 Season 4 episodes
- There are 6 Season 5 episodes
- There are 6 Season 6 episodes
- There are 4 Season 7 episodes
- There are 8 Season 8 episodes
3. The lines under every pics are captions and aren't part of the review :)
And yeah, that's probably that. Let's begin!

One of the major plots that I've encountered throughout my post-movie adventure is the "Squidward torture" plots. Basically, the writers will have Squidward getting abused for very thin reasons for the sake of comedy. And to see an anti-thesis in a form of an episode is really cathartic. This episode is just nice. It wants Squidward to win. It almost felt like it represents how sorry the writers are for torturing Squidward to get cheap laughs out of slapstick-boning juveniles.
"Am I in season 3?" said Squidward.
It would've been a lot higher if it weren't lacking quality. Honestly, this episode is all about making the audience happy. It had emotions. But not production quality. There were barely any story. Or jokes. But you know what? I don't mind. This episode just makes me happy. Because there's only a few things that are more pleasing in modern SpongeBob to actually see Squidward enjoying his life.

This is one of those episodes that you just know you can't fail at. It's one of those concepts that would usually guarantee an at least watchable episode. And this episode didn't really bother on making a really fantastic one. So they just went out and make a good out of it.
Reppin' ma town, when you see me you know everything...
Honestly, I think this episode is a tad bit overrated. I know it's good and all, but it's not that great. The jokes are a bit hit-and-miss, but mostly quite funny. The story is well constructed, but as I said, you'd have to be an Anti-Lauren Faust fairy to develop a bad story out of this concept. I guess it's good enough to enter my countdown, but not good enough to be in the top 20 or 10. It's not the best, but it's enjoyable. I guarantee.
