What is the first season 9 episode????
It doesn't exist. Well, it exists, as in, it has been written, but it hasn't aired yet. We're still in Season 8.
Also, on another note, I'm kinda worried for Season 8. Throughout the whole series, it hasn't been particularly adventurous; the most adventurous episode would probably be Atlantis Squarepantis or Dunces And Dragons. The series, while cartoony and very wacky, generally (even in Post-Movie episodes) have had relatable plots. Pre-Movie was really made of this; episodes like Procrastination, Boating School, Party Pooper Pants, and so on have you going through the episode muttering to yourself, "Dang, that happens to me so often.."
Post Movie does it too: Drive Thru deals with what it says,* House Fancy deals with redecorating your house, something many people have done before; and Have You Seen This Snail deals with losing a pet. But, now,(especially with Season 8) the plots are becoming more.... "Kid Comedy Show-ish" than the relatable plots we used to get. Episodes like A Squarepants Family Vacation start out relatable, but then turn into a weird "Over the river and-ROAD- through the- ROAD- woods to grandmother's-ROAD- house we go!" lost in a demented wood adventure. These new episode synopsises aren't helping.
Now, these not so relatable plots aren't bad; just different (like Season 4). Which is why I lead toward InSpongeiac; it sounds like a plot that you can relate to; trying to stay awake? Having trouble falling asleep? Almost everyone has had those problems. I wonder who "Planet Of The Jellyfish"'ll be written by. I call Casey Alexander and Zeus Cervas and some other
weirdo guy..
*An interesting note: Drive Thru was written by the same team that wrote Dear Vikings. :nono: What the heck, Aaron Springer and Dani Michaeli. What the heck.
